Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Kono.

What is Kono?

Kono is a comprehensive financial planning platform for households. It brings all your financial data (assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and insurance) into one place, giving you a clear picture of your financial health. Invite your financial advisor and other trusted professionals to see the parts you choose, and manage your finances from anywhere on web and mobile.

How do I sign up?

Kono is invite-only while we open up in stages. Click Join the Waitlist and we'll email you as soon as there's room. If a friend has already invited you, use the link they sent and you can create your account right away. We'll guide you through setting up your household from there.

How much does Kono cost, and can I cancel anytime?

The Household plan is $10/month or $100/year (save 17%). Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. You can cancel your subscription at any time with no cancellation fees. See full details on our pricing page.

How do I add my financial accounts?

Once logged in, navigate to your dashboard where you can add assets, liabilities, income sources, expenses, and insurance policies. Each category has its own section with guided forms to help you enter your information accurately. If you experience any issues connecting an account, reach out to support@joinkono.com and we'll help you get connected.

Can I share access with my spouse or partner?

Yes. Kono uses a household model that lets you invite family members to share and collaborate on your financial data. Each member gets their own login while sharing a unified view of household finances.

Is my financial data secure?

Absolutely. All sensitive data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. Kono uses read-only access to your financial accounts, so we can never move or withdraw your money. We maintain rigorous security practices and compliance standards. Visit our Trust Center to learn more about our security posture and certifications.

What financial data can I track?

Kono supports tracking assets (real estate, investments, vehicles, and more), liabilities (mortgages, loans, credit cards), income sources, recurring expenses, and insurance policies. You can also generate a Personal Financial Statement (PFS) from your data.
